CheerSounds' reputation was built on custom mixes for All Star, College, High School and Youth teams. Custom Music gives your team an impressive way to show off their style, energy and choreography!
A custom music mix is created following the customer's specifications. Simply provide us with song selections, 8-counts and voiceovers, and we will produce a unique mix that matches your routine and highlights your choreography.
1. Choose Songs
The first step to ordering a cheer or dance mix is to choose 6 to 12 songs you would like to have in your mix. If you are looking inspiration, try browsing the Premade Mixes page. You also may want to check out our article, 5 Tips to Great Cheer Music.
2. Complete an 8-Count Sheet
The second step is to fill out an 8-count sheet. The 8-count sheet describes your routine so we know where to use songs, sound effects and voiceovers. Our 8-count sheet is in Microsoft Excel format. If you are new to 8-count sheets, please read our article, Beginner's Guide To 8-Count Sheets.
3. Place Your Order!
Standard orders may be placed via Online Order, email or by phone. When ordering online, please include any options or upgrades in the Additional Notes. We accept payment via check or PayPal (+3%).

Standard: Custom mix built to 8-counts , up to four vocals and voiceovers, one song swap and unlimited sound effect edits. Each mix is built from 8-count sheets or routine layout. It is required that song selections and voiceover phrases are provided. Song selections can be chosen for you for an additional $49.
Standard + Premium VO: Our Standard package, plus extra custom voiceover phrases throughout the mix, featuring a variety of vocal effects.
Elite: Distinctive mixes reserved for nationally- and internationally-competitive AllStar and College teams.
CheerSounds Elite is an exclusive All Star mix style that is currently heard at Nationals and World's. The Elite mix features a production style that is refined for the big arena, with an extra emphasis on unique voiceovers and raps: writing them, recording them, perfecting them. It makes our Elite mixes instantly recognizable around the world. These are the mixes that truly inspire us and are responsible for the "big production" trends in cheer music.
Every remix and voiceover CheerSounds produces for an Elite mix is carefully matched to a particular section. It has to work in harmony with the routine, creating an aural and visual sense of unison when the routine is performed.
It takes about a week to make an Elite mix because each mix is made from an average of 300-plus components (beats, acapellas, sounds, voiceovers, etc). The mix also goes through an extensive post-production process to create an unparalleled finished product.
Elite Mixes shall be booked by the client in advance. A 50% deposit is required to book a date, and the balance and 8-counts are due a week before delivery date. CheerSounds accepts payment via Checks and PayPal Payments. Please contact us at info@cheersounds.com to place an Elite order.
Pop Warner mixes and Youth mixes are all about fun and excitement! They usually consist of a variety of current music as well as classics. Music themes, such as "love", "shake" and "country", are also popular. Pop Warner mixes are at a slow-to-moderate pace so younger cheerleaders and dancers can follow along. The music focus on the music more than the backbeats, voiceovers and sound effects. Each Pop Warner and youth cheerleading mix includes team name, colors and mascot voiceovers.
High School cheerleading and dance music is all about school spirit! We understand High School routines pack so much in such little time, so we keep the energy up throughout the entire mix. Backbeats and remixes are more prevalent amongst high school mixes. The tempos range from moderate to fast depending on skill level. High school dance music supports a greater range of tempos. High school mixes generally consist of current "Top 40" hits, pop, rap, dance. Voiceovers pertain to school spirit, team name and mascots.
College cheer and dance also emphasizes school spirit, with the abaility to show off more advanced skills. Music selections can be about almost anything the team wants, and ranges from classic rock to modern rock and pop. Voiceovers are more frequent in college music than high school or pop warner music. Although college routines have plenty of action, there is room for a lot of dynamics such as pauses of suspense, acapellas over epic backbeats, or a two-8count voiceover/rap.
All Star Cheer music can not be mistaken with any other style. It can be defined by its quintessential dynamics, clever voiceovers, big builds, mash-ups, acapellas and custom raps, which all help create the ultimate tailored music. Tempos range from moderate to very fast. All Star cheer mixes emphasize energy, and all techniques are used to achieve that energy.
All Star Dance (particularly hip-hop dance) music is the pinnacle of the hip hop dance mix. Our goal is to give you the most inspiring hip hop club beats, big beats and run-you-mouth acapellas to make the crowd say "ohhhhh!!!!" as many times as possible. To achieve this, we make our own beats and accompaniments for hip-hop dance mixes, which also takes twice as long to make.
